Mr. Ashida is a co-founder and COO of Fast Track Initiative, Inc. He is also
co-representative partner of Life Science Management, Inc. |

He started his professional career as a management consultant at Bain & Company in their Tokyo office where he worked on a number of client
projects including development and implementation of marketing
strategy for a US-based healthcare company in Japan.

|
|
Subsequently, he worked for Amersham Pharmacia Biotech (currently GE Healthcare
Biosciences) in Tokyo with responsibility for corporate planning
in Region Japan and at their headquarters in Sweden where
he was a key member of the merger and post merger integration of
Pharmacia Biotech and Amersham Life Science . He moved to
Monsanto Company (currently Pfizer) as the head of strategic planning
for the Japanese operation of the pharmaceutical sector with responsibility
for strategy planning, business development, business control and
public affairs. |

In the recent past he was a principal of Advantage Partners, a leading Japanese
private equity investment firm. |

He holds a BS and an MS in Molecular Biology from the University of Tokyo. |
